Abstract:
To provide a method for controlling temperature of the molten metal in a semi-molten/semi-solid state, in a non-contacting condition.
In the semi-molten metal casting method, the pressure and/or the frequency of the sound caused by the change of the metallic structure due to heating and cooling are measured. The temperature of the metal is controlled based on the relation between the sound pressure and the temperature of the metal and/or the relation between the sound frequency and the temperature of the metal.
