To provide a method for stably controlling the vapor concentration of a volatile component such as a low molecular weight siloxane in a sealed space on such an occasion for accurately and simply obtaining the concentration of a low molecular weight siloxane when an electric contact fault by the low molecular weight siloxane occurs.
The method for controlling the vapor concentration of a volatile component in a sealed space is characterized in that a nonvolatile liquid or solid containing a known amount of the volatile component is disposed in the sealed space. By the method for controlling the vapor concentration of a volatile component such as low molecular weight siloxane, a given concentration of the volatile component such as low molecular weight can be easily prepared without using a special device. The method is superior, leaving no excess waste, because the nonvolatile liquid or solid can be reused by measuring the concentration of the volatile component such as low molecular weight siloxane in the nonvolatile liquid or solid and again adding the volatile component such as the low molecular weight siloxane to adjust the concentration.
