Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a process for cooling the stock space of a refrigerator, storage chamber, etc., in a cold and humid state (i.e., -1 to +2°C and ≥85% humidity) suitable for the preservation of fruits and vegetables such as apple by using a cold air cooler.
CONSTITUTION: A stock space of a chamber is cooled to a cold and humid state suitable for the preservation of fruits and vegetables by using a cold air cooler. In the above process, the surface temperature of the cooler is constantly maintained at ≥-15°C in the cooling cycle by rotating the cooling fan of a condenser at a rotational speed steplessly controlled according to the temperature of the outer atmosphere.
