Abstract:

To provide a method of correcting a rolling load measured by a rolling load-measuring instrument using measured rolling load data up to a high rolling load, and to provide a plate thickness control method of a rolling mill with enhanced thickness estimation accuracy using the correction value.

In the rolling mill having the rolling load-measuring instrument such as a load cell, fastening is performed at least at two levels or more with a roll and a roll, or a roll and a strip, each relation of a mill stretch amount and a rolling load is measured, and a contribution amount of roll deformation is subtracted from each mill stretch amount to separate a contribution amount other than that of the roll to obtain deformation characteristics other than that of the roll deformation. Subsequently, a correction condition matching the deformation characteristics other than that of the roll measured at the plurality of levels is obtained, and correction of the rolling load-measured value is performed.
