METHOD FOR CULTIVATING CROP IN HEAVY METAL-CONTAINING SOIL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2009291190
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a method for cultivating crops, capable of converting even an area including heavy metal-containing soil as it is, without bothering to remove heavy metals from soil or using a special fixing agent in order to realize cultivation of crops in heavy metal-containing soil.

This method for cultivating crops includes cultivating crops by mixing with soil, a proper amount of bark compost which has a cedar bark shredded product as the main ingredient and produced by fermentation treatment. The heavy metal-containing concentration of cultivated crops is remarkably lower than a heavy metal concentration of soil, and heavy metal-containing soil can be effectively used as an agricultural land by using the bark compost in the same way as general compost in the heavy metal-containing soil.
