Title:
METHOD FOR DECOMPOSING FLUORINE SPECIES BY USING SMALL PARTICLE FLUIDIZED BED
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3639172
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commercial and practical fluorine removing method high in throughput without causing any pollutant and any clogging and capable of repacking a device for continuously and effectively decomposing fluorine.
SOLUTION: The gas containing fluorine is brought into contact with the fluidized bed of metallic particles capable of being reacted with the fluorine to decompose the fluorine. The grain size of the metallic particles is substantially about <300 μm. This method is performed by a plurality of switchable fluidized beds which are connected to each other in parallel and the fluidized beds are switched when the height of the fluidized bed reaches a scheduled level by the reaction of the metallic particles with the fluorine.
