Abstract:
To solve a problem wherein secondary treatment for a decomposition product after decomposed is required separately in a rotary kiln method and a catalytic decomposition that are conventional methods of detoxifying a chlorofluorocarbon substitute gas.
A perfluorocarbon is brought into contact catalytically with zeolite having calcium as a cationic species, at 750 to 1,073K, to be decomposed, and the decomposition product is adsorbed by the zeolite.
