To provide a method of dehydration used for papermaking, generating an appropriate inner pressure in paper stock in accordance with a concentration of the stock, improving dispersibility of fibers in the paper stock, and therefore capable of making the paper excellent in formation, and to provide a dehydrator-controlling device therefor.
This dehydrator-controlling device for controlling plural dehydrators mounted on the twin-wire is equipped with concentration-estimating measures 50, 53, a dehydrator-determining measure 54, a dehydrator operation-controlling measure 55, wherein the concentration-estimating measures 50, 53 estimate each concentration of the paper stock 7 at plural points located on the travel route from the upstream to the downstream of the paper stock 1 traveling along plural dehydrators 21, the dehydrator-determining measure 54 determines a hydrator stationed at a position where the concentration of the paper stock 7 estimated by the concentration-estimating measures 50, 53 meets the predetermined concentration suitable for obtaining an aimed paper quality as the operating hydrator, and the dehydrator operation-controlling measure 55 outputs control signals to the operating dehydrator 21 determined by the dehydrator-determining measure 54 so as to perform the dehydration operation.
