To provide a twin-wire former capable of depressing cost of manufacturing dehydrators, capable of reducing abrasion of the dehydrators and wires so as to prolong lifetime of the wires, and capable of decreasing power loss caused by contacting of the dehydrators with the wires.
This twin-wire former through which paper stock is interposed between the papermaking clearance gap composed of two wires to be nipped, transported and dehydrated is composed of a dehydrator 23 which is positioned so as to face to the papermaking clearance gap via the wires 1, 2 and a counterposed dehydrator 15 which is stationed at the counter position so as to face to the dehydrator 23 via the papermaking clearance gap, wherein any one of the dehydrator 23 and the counterposed dehydrator 15 is equipped with rotatable rolls 51 (61) so that the rolls 51 (61) are contacted with the wires 1, 2 for nipping and transporting the paper stock 7 to perform dehydration of the stock.
