Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a designing method for determining the shape of a lens face in accordance with the curvatures given to the respective lattice points of the lens face.
SOLUTION: A sag quantity ZKL, inclinations BXKL and BYKL in X, Y directions and the curvatures CXKL, CYKL in the X, Y directions are given to the reference lattice points (XK, YL) (S1). BXKj, CXKj and CYKj are given to the lattice points (XK, Yj)[j≠L] on a backbone straight line X=XK (S2) and CXij is given to the lattice points (Xi, Yj)[j≠K] exclusive thereof (S3). The functions v(XK, Y) connecting CYKj on the backbone straight line are integrated on the backbone straight line X to determine the functions f(XK, Y) connecting ZKj (S4). The functions u(X, Yj) connecting CXij are integrated on the straight line Y=Yj to determine the functions f(X, Yj) by each of the respective straight lines (S5), by which the change Wij in the inclination in the X direction to the Y direction and the inclination BYij in the Y direction are determined (S6, S7). The respective regions are expressed by bi-cubic expressions and the performance is simulated (S8, S9) and the results are evaluated (S10). BXKj, CXij, CYKj are regulated to a satisfactory level (S11) and the design is reexecuted from S4.
