Abstract:
To provide a method for detecting the residual developer quantity of the developer T from the stage that the developer T is in the developer containing part 16 and a developing device, a processing cartridge, and an electrophotographic image forming device.
The residual quantity of the developer T is detected one after another, by transporting the developer T to the position where light L to enter from a first light transmission opening 14a in the developer containing part 16 by a developer transporting member 12 and based on the time in which the developer T transported by the developer transporting member 12 interrupts the above light L.
