PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a more suitable determining method based on a genetic background for every patient about whether administration of diabetic medicine is necessary or not, and the dosage.SOLUTION: The method comprises a step (S1) of acquiring a subject's gene polymorphism information and clinical data, a step (S2) of discriminating whether or not a specific gene polymorphism exists in the acquired gene polymorphism information, and a step (S3) of determining a dosage of diabetic medicine based on the presence or absence of the specific gene polymorphism and the clinical data. The clinical data includes a subject's blood HbA1c value, and the specific gene polymorphism contains p22phox C242T gene polymorphism, and Aldose reductase 106T gene polymorphism.
