SOLUTION: When a user generates a name inquiry packet wherein the telephone number of a desired dial-up connection destination, the user ID, and the password are set together with origination request information by using a WWW browser on a LAN terminal 1 and sends it to the communication connection device 3, the communication connection device 3 detects the name inquiry packet sent from the LAN terminal 1 and detects and uses the telephone number, user ID, and password included in the packet to perform dial-up connection processing.
