Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize real time communication which is on a large scale and also whose quantum time is small by providing a priority arbitrating means which independently outputs an input packet to each output port side and controls so that a communication packet with a high priority passing through communication nodes can get ahead of a communication packet with a low priority.
SOLUTION: A priority arbitrating means replaces the priority of a communication packet with a new priority in the case of a mode changing priorities. That is, the priority of a communication packet in the current node is decided by a priority attached to the header of an input packet and the priority of the communication packet is controlled so that passing and routing can be decided according to the priority. When communication is performed from a communication node 0 to a communication node 7, a communication packet with a priority 0 whose real time property is low performs communication via communication nodes called communication nodes 1 and 3 on the way, while a communication packet with a priority 3 in which high real time property is demanded, directly performs communication from the node 0 to the node 7.
