Abstract:
In the method the exhaust gas temperature is raised in a lower load range. In the device for this purpose means (30) of heat supply are provided in the charge air duct (27, 26, 28, 32) and/or in the exhaust gas duct (16, 18, 20, 24, 25). The formation of a coating in the receiver (18) is thereby prevented and the operating reliability increased without the need for modification of the diesel internal combustion engine and without having to resort to expensive fuels.
