Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent nonconforming flexible disks from being incorporated into cartridges so as to enhance reliability by inspecting the flexible disks for overlaps, burrs, clinging materials, etc., before they are incorporated into spool shafts, and removing the nonconforming disks.
CONSTITUTION: Inspecting light is emitted 54a toward a die 52 from a reflection type photoelectric switch 54 placed near a punching part 31, and the light reflected from the die 52 or from a flexible disk 16 caught in the die 52 is received 54b. A control part 55, in accordance with a voltage signal that corresponds to the reflected light, determines whether or not the disk 16 is caught in the die 52, and when the disk is caught in the die, since two disks 16 are to be punched the next time, the control part 55 stores them. Next, the disk 16 is image-picked up by a camera placed on the way to a spool assembling device, a measurement pattern showing the distribution of the density of this image is produced and compared with a reference pattern stored in the control part 55, and thereby nondefective parts that have burrs, clinging materials, etc., are detected and removed from the path of travel, together with the stored nondefective products as to overlap inspection.
