Title:
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR INTRODUCING STEAM OF THERMAL ANALYZER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH07190969
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To only introduce steam under a pressure from 0.1 Pa to 10 Pa by evacuating an ice containing space through the sample arranging space of a thermal analyzer.

CONSTITUTION: An airtightly sealed ice tank 10 is evacuated with an oil-sealed rotary vacuum pump 38 while the ice 18 contained in the tank 10 is maintained at -20°C and, when the pressure in the tank 10 becomes sufficiently low, a valve 34 is closed. On the other hand, the sample arranging space of a differential thermal balance 14 is evacuated with another oil-sealed rotary vacuum pump 62 through a variable throttle valve 46 and connecting section 45 after the balance 14 is evacuated to a sufficiently low pressure by means of an oil diffusion pump 60. Then the inside of the tank 10 communicates with the sample arranging space of the balance 14. In addition, the pressure of steam in the sample arranging space is adjusted to a desired value by adjusting the opening of the valve 46.
