To provide a lubricating method and device enhancing function reliability and a useful life, by improving a device for lubricating a bearing of a machine tool, which is equipped with a rotating member rotatably supported in the bearing portion disposed in a housing and wherein a lubricating device of the bearing portion at least temporarily supplies a lubricant to the bearing portion.
In a housing, a lubricant path 19 including the bearing portion and/or lubricant supplying chambers 25, 28 disposed oppositely to the bearing portion, and extending from an inlet to outlets 42, 43 is formed. The lubricating device has a lubricant mist producing device connected to the inlet. The lubricant mist producing device can supply lubricant mist into the lubricant path under pressure, and make the lubricant flow through the lubricant path to the outlets. The outlets 42, 43 are connected condensing means 45, 47 for the remaining amount of the lubricant mist. The condensing means have discharging means for the lubricant condensed in the condensing means.
