To automatize a determination about the timing of extraction of a polymer from a reaction vessel a polymer pellet and keep the quality of the polymer constant.
The manufacturing weight MO of a batch of the polymer is computed from the stocking amount of a polymer raw material by a computer 13. The polymer is manufactured by a reactor 15, and extruded by a die head 17. The polymer is recovered without being pelletized until the weight of the polymer reaches M1; after that, a passage of a strand 18 is switched by a switch 21; and the polymer is pelletized by a pelletizing device 26. The weight M2 of the pellet is measured by a weighing device 32. The target weight OM2 of the polymer (OM2=MO+MR-M1-MRO: MR indicates the weight of the residual polymer; and MRO indicates the adequate amount of the polymer remaining.) is determined in each batch by the computer 13. When the weight M2 reaches the target weight OM2, the computer 13 closes the valve 16, and the manufacture of a batch of the polymer is finished. The weight MR is accurately determined in each batch.
