The core misalignment measuring device of a press to implement the pressing operation between an upper die 4 mounted on a lower side of a slide 2 and a lower die 5 fixed on a bed or a bolster 1e comprises a measuring means 8 which is installed around the lower die 5, not in contact with the upper die 4, and dynamically measures the misalignment of the descending upper die 4 in a X-axis direction and a Y-axis direction which are orthogonal to each other, and a controlling means which compares the pre-measured reference value of the axis of the upper die 4 or the lower die 5 with the dynamic misalignment measured by the measuring means 8, and judges the misalignment when the dynamic misalignment exceeds the allowable range, and since the dynamic misalignment of a die 3 can be measured during the pressing work, generation of defective stocks can be prevented in advance.
