Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for peeling off a cover of a golf ball, which can mechanically and efficiently peel off the cover from the golf ball, can enhance the efficiency of reproduction of a golf ball, and which can contribute to reduction of industrial waste from golf balls.
SOLUTION: A pair of gear rolls 14, 14 each composed of a cylindrical shaft 10, teeth 12 formed on the outer peripheral surface of the shaft 10 at predetermined pitches and axially extending, are meshed with each other for rotation. A golf ball is arranged rotationally upstream (above) of the gear rolls 14, 14 so that a part of the cover thereof is nipped between the rolls 14, 14, and further, the cover 4 nipped between the rolls 14, 14 is pulled out rotationally downstream (below) of the rolls 14, 14. Accordingly, the cover 4 is separated from the core 6 of the golf ball.
