A disaster recovery method comprises a step for converting position information indicated in log information into physical position information in a main storage device sub-system by a conversion table indicating correspondence relation between logical position information recognized by a host computer and the physical position information in the main storage device sub-system when an access request from a host computer is a write request and the written contents are log information indicating the contents of database processing which is performed in a buffer of the host computer and a step for updating data in a database area in the main storage device sub-system which is expressed by the converted physical position information in accordance with the contents of the log information and transmitting the access request to the minor storage device sub-system.
