A method for processing a jigsaw puzzle image includes: an imaging step of imaging a target pattern where the jigsaw puzzle in a target region is completely put together by a digital imaging means to generate imaging data; a completion decision step where the completion decision means of a computer decides whether or not the target pattern is completed comparing the imaging data with preliminarily stored target pattern data, or decides the degree of completion; and a result processing step of performing a prescribed result processing in response to the result of the completion decision step.
