Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for producing clinch-rivet connection so that the clinch-rivet connection of a pot-shaped lower part and a plate-shaped upper part is highly accurately carried out by means of a suitable process parameter.SOLUTION: The clinch-rivet connection is carried out using a rotary oscillating movement for connecting two metal members 2 and 3. A vertical, and simultaneously, a horizontal deformation are caused via the oscillating movement of forming rollers 10, one of members 3 has a preformed, flat, tab-like arc web 5, and the second member 2 is provided with a partially V-shaped arc slot 4. The forming roller 10, via circumferential oscillating movement, presses the arc web 5 into the arc slot 4 by means of superimposed axial movement. The outer circumference of the forming rollers 10 is provided with a wedge-shaped profile 11, 48. The oscillating movement 7 of each of the forming rollers 10 with a specific pendulum path across the arc web 5 does not exceeds the length of the arc web 5.
