In the method for producing an organic EL display panel, the deviation of layer thickness of the organic compound layer is reduced by acquiring the area of each partitioned area in advance, and discharging an application liquid 8 into each partitioned area while controlling the quantity of organic EL application liquid according to the acquired area.
