Abstract:
To sufficiently suppress the influence of a defective place from which data reading is difficult for a recording means such as a hard disk.
The data processing device 100 detects a defective sector in timing of reading a physical sector number with respect to a sector to which no access request is made to store the logical sector number of the defective sector in a temporary storage area 144, and moves data written in the defective sector corresponding to the logical sector number stored in the temporary storage area 144 to a reserve sector and restores the data after the end of defective sector detection for an entire hard disk 121a.
