Abstract:

To provide a container to seal a battery in order to isolate the battery from under hood environment of a vehicle.

This is the container to seal the battery 10 in order to isolate the battery 10 from the under hood environment of the vehicle. A method to cool the vehicle battery includes a step to provide the container which is nearly airtight-sealed except a cooling air intake 18 and air-exhaust ports 22, 24, a step to provide an air scoop which directs comparatively cool air from the outside of the vehicle to the cooling air intake 18, a step to push aside the cooling air of the battery surroundings toward the exhaust ports 22, 24, and a step to forcibly discharge the cooling air from the exhaust ports. Furthermore, that device utilizes a cooling method of the vehicle battery.
