PURPOSE: To discriminate the similarity based on various view points.
CONSTITUTION: In the database where respective plural elements have plural pairs consisting of the characteristic concept representing the characteristic of element and the degree of importance showing the close relation between the element and the characteristic concept, a comparison element made up of the collection of pairs of proximity value representing the closeness between the degree of importance companions to the characteristic concept of one element and the degree of importance which companions to the characteristic concept of the other element on the characteristic concept included in any of the plural elements. The view point elements having plural pairs of the characteristic concept and the degree of importance is referred to discriminate whether the characteristic concept related to the characteristic concept is included in the view point element is discriminated on the characteristic concept held by the comparison element. The proximity value which companions to the characteristic concept in the comparison element is emphasized by the degree of importance which companions to the related characteristic concept in the view point elements to discriminate the similarity.
