To provide a method for readily discriminating whether the cell subjected to gene introduction is a target recombinant cell or a randomly inserted cell.
The method for determining the target recombinant cell and the randomly inserted cell includes introducing a second vector containing a promoter; a sequence for encoding a second fluorescent protein different from a first fluorescent protein, and two arms, and having the promoter and the second fluorescent protein-encoding sequence arranged between the two arms, to a cell to which a first vector containing a promoter; a sequence encoding the first fluorescent protein, and two arms, and having the promoter and the first fluorescent protein-encoding sequence arranged between the two arms. The method further includes detecting fluorescences of the first fluorescent protein and the second fluorescent protein to determine the cells so that the cell expressing only the second fluorescent protein is the target recombinant protein, and that the cell expressing both of the first fluorescent protein and the second fluorescent protein is the randomly inserted cell.
