Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a dyeing composition capable of dyeing keratinous fibers, esp. the human hair without damaging the hair shaft, comprising a coupler and/or rapid oxidation dye and iodine ion. CONSTITUTION: This dyeing composition A is such one that 0.01-10 (esp. 0.25-5)wt.% of a coupler and/or a rapid oxidation dye as oxidation dye and 0.007-4 (esp. 0.08-1.5)wt.% of iodine ion are contained in a medium suitable for dyeing. The composition A is applied to keratinous fibers. In this case, a composition B being such one that 1-40 (esp. 3-10)vol.% hydrogen peroxide is contained at pH 2-12 (esp. pH 2-5) in a medium suitable for dyeing is applied to the fibers either before or after the application of this composition A. It is preferable that the weight ratio (dye/iodine ion) is 0.05-10 (esp. 0.5-2), and the coupler is pref. a compound of the formula (R1 is OH or NH2 ; R3 and R5 are each H, OH or NH2 ; R2 , R4 and R6 are each H, an alkoxy, a hydroxyalkoxy, or an alkyl).
