Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and equipment for producing a granular slag restraining an expansion collapse and improving the product quality of the granular slag regardless of the throughput of melt slag.
SOLUTION: In this method, fed melt slag 11 is collided against rotating bodies 14, 15, granulated by surface tension of the melt slag 11 itself and flown inside a rotating cylindrical body 16, and the granulated melt or semi-melt slag is cooled to produce granular slag. The granular slag 11b ejected from the rotating cylindrical body 16 and middle-cooled is further forcedly cooled, and thereby modifying the granular slag 11b for preventing an expansion collapse of the granular slag 11b.
