Title:
METHOD FOR EVALUATING OPTICAL APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3490804
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To test and evaluate an optical apparatus even if a real optical apparatus does not exist by calculating exit pupil data, calculating the luminous intensity distribution data of a luminous flux, and conducting the steps of calculating the luminous intensity distribution.
CONSTITUTION: The method evaluates the characteristics of a luminous flux transmitted through or reflected from a diffusing plate in an optical apparatus having a focusing optical system and the plate disposed at the focusing position of the system or the position near the front or rear of the position. The method comprises the steps of calculating the exit pupil data of the system at a plurality of predetermined positions on the diffusing plate, calculating the luminous intensity distribution data of the luminous flux at the predetermined position of the diffusing plate, and calculating the luminous intensity distribution based on the plurality of luminous intensity distribution data. Since the luminous intensity distribution characteristics of the luminous flux after transmitting the diffusing plate can be obtained by the pupil data of a projecting lens and the diffusing data of the diffusing plate, the optical characterisics of the apparatus can be evaluated without manufacturing the apparatus.
