Title:
METHOD FOR EXPRESSING POLYPEPTIDE BY MICROORGANISM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2694840
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prepare a functional mammalian polypeptide or its intermediate polypeptide by the culture of microbial cell by culturing a recombinant microorganism containing a heterologous DNA coding for the expression of mammalian hormone and other polypeptides.
CONSTITUTION: A polypeptide expressed by a microorganism transformed by a recombinant microbial cloning vehicle comprising a heterologous DNA coding for the expression of mammalian hormone (e.g. somatostatin) and other polypeptides, including a plasmid suited for the transformation of bacterial host, is recovered from the microbial cell culture product. The plasmid contains a control region homologous to the host in its untransformed state and contains the structural gene for the heterologous DNA in the reading phase.
