To provide a method for extraction by which an oleaginous substance in Ganoderma lucidum spores can be obtained in high yield in a good state.
This method for extracting the oleaginous substance from germination- activated Ganoderma spores or nongermination-activated Gaderma spores comprises (1) breaking the sporoderm with a mechanical means and (2) extracting the oleaginous substance from the sporoderm-broken spores using a method for superctitical fluid- carbon dioxide (SCF-CO2) extraction. The preferred supercritical conditions are 5-60 MPa supercritical pressure, 32-85°C supercritical temperature and 5-80 kg/h flow capacity rate. The preferred SCF-CO2 extraction time is 0.5-6 h. The method for activating germination of the Ganoderma spores is carried out by (1) culturing the spores in a nutritional solution and inducing the germination and then (2) placing the spores in a sufficiently ventilated culture box at a constant temperature and humidity and activating the spores. According to the method for extraction, the oleaginous substance in an amount of about 37% based on the spore weight is obtained and the resultant oleaginous substance is transparent and has a fragrance unique to the Ganoderma spores. There is no trace of deposit, solvent residue or oxidation in the oleaginous substance.
