Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To forecast a plate crown with a high degree of accuracy and at a small calculation load even under rolling conditions wherein a non-contact area arises between a work roll and a backup roll.
SOLUTION: Under a plurality of rolling conditions, the plate crown is calculated (S110), considering (S106, S109) contact area information using a splitting model and the plate crown (S110) is obtained by the plate crown forecasting formulas (A), (B) decided based on the calculation result; Crout/Hout=ζηCM/Hout+ηCrin/Hin...(A) CM=αP.P+αB.FB+αCW.CRW+αCB.CRB+αCH.CRH...(B) Here, mechanical crown is indicated as CM, rolling load as P, bending force as FB, work roll initial crown as CRW, backup roll crown CRB, work roll thermal crown as CRH, and influence coefficient as αP, αB, αCW, αCB, αCH.
