Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which the failure of ground artificially altered by sloping work, tunneling work, etc., can be foreseen easily with high reliability.
SOLUTION: In a method for foreseeing failure of ground, electrodes 1 and 2 are buried in the top SH and toe SL of a cut slope S corresponding to both sides of the ground area GA between the slope S and a sliding surface LS by regarding the area GA as a ground area GA to be foreseen and the ground potential difference between the electrodes 1 and 2 is measured by connecting an ammeter 4 to the electrodes 1 and 3 through conductors 3. For a stable ground area having no possibility of causing failure, etc., also, electrodes are buried in the stable way and the ground potential difference between the electrode is measured. Then a ground strain signal is fetched from the ground potential difference measuring signal between the electrodes 1 and 2 by filtering the ground potential measuring signal between the electrodes buried in the stable ground area as noise caused by the variation of geomagnetism, electronic waves from an urban district, etc.
