Abstract:

PURPOSE: To furnish a polyhedral device with external electrodes of precise shape that continuously extend over a plurality of its faces.

CONSTITUTION: There is provided a method of forming external electrodes 2 and 3 on a polyhedral ceramic device. First, a polyhedral device 1 is coated entirely with catalyst 6 for electroless plating. All the faces, except adjacent ones where electrodes are to be attached, are simultaneously printed with insulating film 4. Then, the whole polyhedral device 1 is subjected to electroless plating.
