Title:
METHOD OF FORMING FLUORESCENT SURFACE FOR COLOR-PICTURE TUBE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5732543
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To shorten the formation process of a fluorescent surface for a color-picture tube, and realize great reduction of the manufacturing cost of the fluorescent surface by adding a light absorbing matter used as a thermal decomposition accelerator by either a photoresist film or a phosphor film, and forming a black matrix surface made of a light absorbing substance.

CONSTITUTION: The inner wall of a panel 1 is coated with a photoresist 9 containing tannic acid which is used as a light absorbing matter and accelerates the thermal decomposition, before the photoresist 9 is dried and parts of the photoresist 9 which form picture elements are exposed and developed. After that, the unexposed parts of the resist 9 are washed off to make photoresist stripes 9a to be formed on the inner wall of the panel 1. Next, a light absorbing substance 5 is equally applied on the entire inner surface of the panel 1 which is provided with the stripes 9a. Following that, the film of the substance 5 is coated with a phosphor slurry 6, before the slurry 6 is exposed and developed in the order of green, blue and red, thereby phosphor stripes 6GW6R being formed. By the means mentioned above, a black matrix surface of a low cost can be obtained by a shortened manufacturing process.
