Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce the cost required by enabling an insert to be formed with its undercut section as an integral unit in such a manner that, after a slide core being drawn, the insert, the annular edge of which is closed compactly with its door section closed is inserted into a matal mold allowing it to be covered with an outer skin pad. CONSTITUTION:Hard synthetic resin is extruded into a form where a portion of the annular edge 1a of an insert 1 is opened outward as a door section 1c through a thin hinge, and undercut section 4b of an engaging pawl 4 comes in contact with the tip of a slide core 3 which is inserted in from the outside through a slit 2. Then, a core mold 6 and the slide core 3 are drawn to the direction as shown by the arrow head allowing the insert 1 to be formed with its door section ic opened. Subsequently, the door section 1c is closed compactly and is connected in a body. After it being inserted into a metal mold, the engaing pawl 4 is formed as an integral unit where it is covered with an outer skin pad 7 made of soft synthetic resin.
