To achieve high affinity and high specificity, when oligonucleotides are applied to therapy and diagnosis.
A method for forming the oligonucleotides has (a) a process for reversibly binding at least two oligonucleotides to suitable positions on an oligo- or polynucleotide containing base units complementary to base units of the oligonucleotides, by making one of the oligonucleotudes which contains a nucleotide having a first reactive group approach a nulceotide of another oligonucleotide which contains a second reactive group and further making the second reactive group spontaneously form a covalent bond with the first reactive group, and a process (b) for irreversibly covalently binding the oligonucleotides through the first and second reactive groups which are adjacent to each other in binding the oligonucleotides on the polynucleotide.
