Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the fiber orientation, yield, physical properties, etc., of a paper layer by easily changing the constitution of an endless wire according to the paper-making conditions such as the kind and freeness of various fiber raw materials, concentration, filler condition, areal density of paper and paper- making speed determined by the species of the paper to be produced.
CONSTITUTION: This paper layer forming method and apparatus have the following constitution. One set or two sets of endless wires placed in upper and lower stages are combined with each other. The formation of paper layer is divided into four sections in the wire-moving direction, the gradient of each section is adjusted to arbitrary angle and the degrees of vacuum dehydration and pressure dehydration are controlled to gradually proceed the dehydration, e.g., by an ascending single wire part A at the 1st stage, a descending double wire part B at the 2nd stage, a paper-layer reforming part C at the 3rd stage and a horizontal or descending single wire part D at the 4th stage to enable the optimum paper layer formation under various paper-making conditions.
