PURPOSE: To prevent the interadhesion of materials, more particularly molten metal and a solid and to enable the relative movement of both materials by forming a separating space between the at least two materials which wet or deposit or adhere to each other when the materials are brought into contact with each other by exciting the at least one material on account of mechanical vibration.
CONSTITUTION: An immersion pipe 1 consisting of refractory ceramic material is mounted at the bottom of a metallurgical container 2. The passage 3 of the immersion pipe 1 is helpful for passing molten steel. An ultrasonic generator 4 is mounted at the immersion pipe 1. This generator 4 applies the ultrasonic vibration of the frequency exceeding 20 kHz to the immersion pipe 1 as the solid. The vibration propagates the wall body 5 of the passage 3 within the immersion pipe 1. As a result, the sustained contact of the molten metal with the wall body 5 is prevented by the high-frequency vibration and, therefore, the separating space is generated between the molten metal flowing in the passage 3 and the wall body 5. The adhesion of the solid materials, more particularly Al2O3 particles to the wall body 5 is prevented by this separating wall.
