Abstract:
To provide a new method for gasifying organic matter enabling continuous operation over a long period without decline in production efficiency due to periodical operation halts through preventing various troubles which may occur when a conventional catalyst-packed reactor is used.
The new method comprises the following practice: Active carbon powder is suspended in an aqueous medium with organic matter dissolved or dispersed therein, and the resultant suspension is continuously fed into a high-temperature and high-pressure zone, where a hydrothermal reaction is carried out to generate a combustible gas.
