Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2008196105
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a method for obtaining a multiple component nonwoven fabric with reduced stretch-type defects.

The method for heating the multiple component nonwoven fabric comprises a first polymeric component and a second polymeric component, wherein the melting point or softening point of the first polymeric component is lower than the melting point or softening point of the second polymeric component, and the nonwoven fabric is heated to a temperature greater than about (Tm-40)C (where Tm is the melting point or softening point of the first polymeric component) but less than (Tm-10)C, while the nonwoven fabric is under a tension in any one direction that is between 0 and 52.5 N/m.
