To provide a method for hydrogenation and fluid catalytic cracking of heavy hydrocarbon oil, which has slight reduction of cracking reaction activity, high yield of gasoline and kerosene fractions and a small amount of consumption of a fresh catalyst in an RFCC process even if large amounts of Ni and V are deposited on a catalyst.
This method for hydrogenation and catalytic cracking of heavy hydrocarbon oil comprises (a) a process for hydrogenating a heavy hydrocarbon oil containing Ni, V and a sulfur compound in the presence of a catalyst of hydrogenation to reduce contents of Ni, V and the sulfur compound and to give a hydrogenated oil having the weight ratio of Ni to V of <1.0, (b) a process for preparing a feed raw material oil for catalytic cracking having the weight ratio of Ni to V of ≥1.0 by mixing at least a part of the hydrogenated oil with a heavy hydrocarbon oil having a higher content of Ni than that of V and (c) a process for subjecting the feed raw material oil for catalytic cracking to fluid catalytic cracking in the presence of a catalytic cracking catalyst containing a faujasite type zeolite and an inorganic oxide catalyst.
