To provide an optical analog image processing method and device therefor, which solve the problem that a conventional optical analog method is suitable for a parallel actual time processing for image information but makes it difficult to reduce the size of an optical device and hence lacks convenience in the configuration, and which accordingly enable a size reduction and a parallel image processing for identifying a plurality of images.
An identification object introducing means or a means for portraying an identification object shape is set in front of a Fourier conversion lens without being limited to a front focus face. The optical path of a multiple-matched filter formation optical system is shorted. Thereby, the formation of the multiple-matched filter is facilitated by a sharp optical diffraction pattern obtaining optical system. Accordingly, a simple method and small device for identifying simultaneous parallel actual time for a plurality of shapes are provided.
