Abstract:
To provide a method for increasing the molecular weight of polybutadiene or polyisoprene manufactured by a gas phase polymerization using a polymerization catalyst.
The method for increasing the molecular weight of polybutadiene or polyisoprene in the polymerization of 1,3-butadiene or isoprene in a gas phase in the presence of a catalyst containing Ni, Co or Ti comprises introduction of a hydrocarbon having a low boiling point and high volatility such as isopentane to the polymerization.
