A lift 4 includes an image sensor 21 with an actuator, which has an image sensor 23 attached to the leading end of a single-axis robot 22, and an image processing data collecting device 24 for recording the image data acquired by the image sensor 23. After that, in each parking room 2, a visual field including a traversing motor 1a, a traversing chain 1b and a traversing rail 3b is automatically taken and recorded; and the presence or absence of the abnormality in the tray traversing equipment 1 is determined by the obtained image data.
