Abstract:

PURPOSE: To move a fuel-air mixture blown into a combustion chamber of an engine to an ignition point in a spatially enclosed state, to clean a mixing chamber on the other hand, to take out compressed gases during a compression period of a cycle, to mix it with fuel, and to blow it with fuel into the combustion chamber in an operation cycle.
CONSTITUTION: During a compression period, a complex air flow having a first main stream 9, a second main stream 5a', and a third main stream 5b' is generated, these main streams rotate around a rotation axis vertical to a cylinder shaft 4 and are directed to substantially combustion center in a region of a cover surface 7 of a combustion chamber, the rotation axis of the first main stream 9 is substantially vertical to the rotation axes of the second and third main streams, and the main streams for generating a vortex pair rotating inversely. Therefore, the first main stream is directed from a blowing-in position 11 to an ignition position 12 on the cover surface of the combustion chamber, a fuel-air mixture is blown into the first main stream in the direction of the ignition position, the blown mixture cloud 10 is transversely restrained by the vortex pair, and simultaneously a mixing chamber 11b is cleaned with compressed cylinder-added-gases.
