To provide a method of joining dissimilar metal bus bars by which a joined part of high reliability is obtained upon joining bus bars made of dissimilar metals, and to provided a dissimilar bus bar and an electric power conversion equipment using the method.
A joining end part of a low-melting-point-side bus bar is protruded from a weld end part of a high-melting-point-side bus bar, the joining end part of the low-melting-point-side bus bar is melted mainly, and the melted metal material of the low-melting-point-side bus bar is flown to the joining end part of the high-melting-point-side bus bar, and both joining end parts are thereby joined to each other. By making the melted metal of the low-melting-point-side bus bar and the joining end part of the high-melting-point-side bus bar deposit to each other through making a part near the surface of the joining end part of the high-melting-point-side non-melted, or making a thin layer near the surface melted, a conducting area between the bus bars is secured stably, so that a joined part of high reliability can be formed.
